Randall's Island Breaks Ground on New Sports Fields

Randall’s Island Sports Foundation celebrated the groundbreaking for the Sports Field Development Project on Thursday, August 2. It was a very rewarding moment for all of us who have been working so long to open more fields at Randall's Island Park, and was well attended by friends and supporters, including Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott, Deputy Bronx Borough President Earl Brown, CB11 Chair Robert Rodriquez and EDC VP David Kane, all of whom spoke eloquently about what the project brings to the City. Our own Mike Bellinger MCd the event fluidly, Rich, Karen and Commissioner Benepe saluted our partnership, and Richard Gross helped us celebrate the day.
