In March 2002, after years of planning and fundraising, demolition of Downing Stadium commenced. Construction of the new Icahn Track and Field Stadium and the premiere soccer field began the following winter. On this website you will be able to follow construction progress as we work to provide a state of the art track and field facility for all New Yorkers to enjoy.
